He had the qualities of the androgyne shaman
The soft man with the hard heart; moving from one world to another with ease.
Slipping and sliding; sometimes fluid; two coats of fur and claws well hidden,
Big doleful eyes as he craves the forbidden.
He will creep in when the door is ajar; hearing the plans not for his ears; using the knowledge for his own poisoned spears.
Sometimes striped or panther black
Silent in the groove of someone elses' beaten track
Then leaping off-road to gather the hype, calling on maidens who feed him on cream; smoothing his coat to a burnished gleam,
Never far from a meal or a comfy bed; this feline trickster has a hole in his heart and a fire in his head.
Puss-in-Boots jumps at the sound of his name
And grins so wide, his teeth are insane
The velvet cushions and silken threads await his pleasure and tease his time, await his pleasure and tease his time........
For Puss-in-Boots, there is no name he will not use, there is no shame he will not choose
